Panerai Royal Regatta in Cannes 2009
Once again Bell Microsystems chartered "The Blue Peter" in a five day sailing competition. Although the crew did not win anything this year "The Blue Peter" was awarded with a trophy to honour the yachts attendance for participating in each Panerai Classic Yacht event held in 2009. Sun Sail 2009
Bell Microsystems and Sun Retail team took part in the 2009 Sun Sail event, to help raise funds for Sail 4 Cancer. The combined efforts of the team resulted in second place. "Bell Microsystems")

Panerai Royal Regatta in Cannes 2008
Bell Microsystems chartered the yacht “the Blue Peter “ for the annual Classic yacht regatta in Cannes as part of the Panerai sponsored classic yacht 2008 series.
The Blue Peter is a 60 foot Marconi B series classic yacht, built in 1930 and was crewed by an amateur crew made up of staff from Bell Microsystems and friends who made the best of conditions that saw every weather condition possible (nearly always daily! ) to win the regatta and take the Panerai first prize for the series outright.

The Sun Sail 'Round the Island Race' is one of the biggest events in the solent and involves various different classes of yacht racing around the isle of wight.

In 2002 Bell Microsystems deceided to enter two amateur teams in to the race, but both were unlikely of winning their category. So It was decided to race the teams against each other in a mini race within race to enhance the fun and encourage team work.
