Summary Environmental and Carbon Policy
Bell Microsystems acknowledge that our activities have an impact upon the environment and contribute to climate change. We are committed to reducing the organisations carbon dioxide and other green house gas emissions, whilst recognising the disciplines of environmental protection. We adopt environmental standards as a prime responsibility and aim to aim to reduce our impact on climate change.
Bell Microsystems Summary Environmental and Carbon Policy calls for the continuous maintenance of certification ISO 14001 and the management of carbon neutrality and other environmental activities.
In managing this policy Bell Microsystems will conduct business according to the following principals:

- Comply with all applicable laws and regulations
- Follow a concept of continuous improvement and make best use of our management resources in all matters of environmental protection.
- Communicate our objectives and our performance against these objectives throughout the Organisation and to interested parties.
- Promote these achievements to customers.
- Take due care to ensure that activities cause no avoidable adverse environmental impact.
- Work closely with our customers and suppliers to establish the highest environmental protection standards.
- Adopt a forward-looking view on future business decisions that may have environmental consequences.
- Train our staff in the needs and responsibilities of environmental management
- Involve and engage our staff in environmental activities
- Annually assess our carbon footprint
- Set targets to reduce our emissions
- Allocate responsibility for achieving these policy aims
- Identify further opportunities to reduce carbon dioxide (CO2) and other greenhouse gas emissions by:
- Reducing the need for activities
- Making activities more efficient
- Make activities greener & cleaner
- Activities include review of transport requirements, business journeys planning; promote alternative transport for commuter trips, and the careful energy management in the office. - Offset our unavoidable emissions using high quality offsetting projects
- Review our targets and this policy regularly
By doing this, Bell Microsystems can reduce wastage, improve efficiency and save money, which embeds good environmental management into core business activities. Consequently the company can position itself as a leader in addressing climate change and foresee the competitive advance and the business opportunities of attracting new customers
