Bell Microsystems in the running for two more industry awards

Bell Microsystems has been short-listed in two categories in the 2009 MicroScope ACES (Awards for Channel Excellence) – the Environment Company of the Year Award and the Storage Reseller of the Year Award.  Bell Microsystems won the Storage Reseller of the Year Award in both 2007 and 2008 – so the company is looking to make 2009 its ‘hat-trick year’.

“Winning an ACEs award in 2007 and 2008 – and again being short-listed for two awards in 2009 – really shows that we never rest on our laurels,” comments Alastair Bell, Managing Director, Bell Microsystems.  “Instead, with every award that we win, the Bell Microsystems team raises the bar in terms of how we assess our own performance and the customer service we deliver.

“Being short-listed for the Environmental Company of the Year Award is particularly valuable to us.  Eco objectives are woven into virtually all of our activities – both within our own business operations and in the services that we deliver to our customers.  Internally, we’ve been implementing a programme to reduce our energy consumption, minimise our carbon footprint and achieve carbon neutrality.  While, for our customers, we help them to manage the entire lifecycle of their IT solutions – reducing energy consumption, reusing redundant systems and managing the disposal, data destruction and recycling of older systems.  Bell Microsystems’ IT Lifecycle Management programme offers our customers a unique combination of services that yield environmental benefits, while also generating significant cost savings.

“With two consecutive ACEs awards for Storage Reseller of the Year and a further short-listing for 2009, our credentials as a supplier of superior solutions for data storage are well and truly established.  Over the past year, the economic downturn has created increased demand for data storage solutions that cut costs and boost eco-efficiency, and we’ve continued to invest in our data storage team – so that we can help our customers to achieve more and spend less.  In addition to implementing cost-efficient solutions – such as tiered storage architectures – we’ve helped to introduce innovative, new storage technologies that offer higher performance and lower running costs.”

The MicroScope ACEs award winners will be announced at a Gala Dinner at The Hurlingham Club, London, on 2nd June.
